Beer enthusiasts Glenn and Michelle Benigni founded Fat Head’s Saloon 27 years ago, in 1992, as Pittsburgh, PA’s first craft beer bar/restaurant. In 2009 Fat Head’s expanded, as a brewery, through a partnership with award winning, Cleveland-area, Brewmaster Matt Cole, to create our first brewpub, Fat Head’s Brewery & Saloon in North Olmsted, Ohio.

After winning several national and international brewing awards, and in response to overwhelming demand, a production facility was opened in 2012 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.  A Tap House was later added to the production brewery so people could enjoy a pint while being immersed within the production facility, actually watching the beer they were drinking being made.

By 2015, with growing demand for more distribution of our beer, Fat Head’s Brewery was close to brewing capacity and quickly outgrowing our space. An opportunity arose to move to a bigger and better location while staying in Middleburg Heights. We invited guests to head our way on August 20, 2018 as we officially opened our doors to our new 75,000 square foot Production Brewery, Beer Hall & Restaurant. 

And before we completed construction on the new Beer Hall, we opened our second brewpub in Canton, Ohio in March of 2018! 

Fat Head’s Brewery distributes four core beers and a range of seasonal offerings throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Western New York. With the increase in production in our new facility, we plan to expand our core offerings and seasonal beers, and also increase our distribution regionally. While doing this, we will never stray from what got us here, our core values of hard work, quality, passion, drive, integrity, and people.
