Cervecería Baguales was founded in 2006 and introduced craft beer and microbrew to Patagonia. Initially the brews were distributed in kegs to Bars and Restaurants in Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine National Park. Then in 2011 Baguales again led the curve, opening the first brewpub in Patagonia situated on the main plaza in Puerto Natales. The brewery and restaurant became the hub of pub culture in the region by attracting tourists and innoculating the idea of good beer and food, and a barstool in a place where that niche did not yet exist. Today Baguales is growing and restructuring to focus on the beverages market, including beer, whisky and non-alcoholic adult beverage production, packaging and distribution, while maintaining the restaurant as a prime on-site sales venue.
